About 10 days ago my girls had a brilliant idea to organize a neighborhood water battle. They quickly got to work planning and I soon discovered flyers posted on all nearby lampposts.
They read:
Attention ALL kids!!!!!!
(and adults)
The Sorenson girls are planning a water battle!!
Come prepared with your swimwear and your water guns!
(If you don't have any water guns, we have a couple)
When: Monday the 27th/ Saturday the 1st
Where: Creekstone North Park
Hope to see you there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, Memorial day was sort of a bust. It was rather cool out and so many people were out of town. But this past Saturday was a HUGE success!
Behold, the water battle:
There were several hundred water balloons.
They were gone in something like five minutes.
But it was five minutes of pure joy.
That's what childhood is all about, right?
