A Summer Adventure: Part XI

An Outdoor Concert

On our second night in Rome we stumbled across an ancient amphitheater. And not just any old amphitheater - this one was started by Julius Caeser himself.

And, as it turned out, a concert was just a few minutes away from starting. So we hurried, bought some tickets and spent the evening listening to Mozart, Liszt, and Schumann being played among the ruins. It was surreal. So surreal in fact, that we went back two nights later for another concert featuring jazz renditions of Mozart, Bach, and even The Beatles. Amazing.
