Thriving

On Monday Donald and I snacked on some cucumbers plucked directly from our little patch of Earth. May I just say that cucumbers never tasted so good! And the tomatoes....oh the tomatoes....there are dozens of them (growing rapidly). Luckily, I am married to a master salsa maker; needless to say, those dozens and dozens of tomatoes will be put to good use. Yum.

OH GOSH!! I'm first today! I've been missing your early morning posts-I've had to wait until I got home from work to see your new message--but not today!! And yes, homemade salsa with fresh produce-and a bag of Juanita's chips... AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

That is amazing. I wish I had such before and after pictures. I have had my sights on making a garden for some time now. It still hasn't come to fruition. Enjoy that salsa.

Oooh! I love veges from the garden!! We tried a garden, but our backyard is too shady(thank you cottonwood trees) and nothing grew. Enjoy your fresh produce!

Homemade salsa...it just doesn't get any better than that!! It was the first thing I craved when I was pregnant with Cayman.

Your garden has thrived beautifully. Great job on keeping your dogs out of it!

Oh, tomatoes fresh from the garden = heaven!

I do believe that Don has mentioned a DonSalsa/Cinnamon roll trade...I'm up for that anytime!

We are having fun with our garden as well. Because of all the shade in the yard I put the garden in large flower boxes and placed them in the sunniest spot I could find. Moveable if needed to reach the sun. I am so excited we have oodles of tomatoes on the vine.

Isn't it a wonderful feeling to actually grow your own produce? After so many years of failure I have to say I am delighted.

Outstanding! Just makes me feel good all over to see someone else reaping the rewards of their work. Makes me hungry, too!

I am so jealous you don't even know. :)

Since we were going to sell our house I wasn't able to grow anything this year.

I would love to sample your bounty...maybe you could bring me a little sample on Tuesday?

It's hard to believe that so many goodies can come from just a small patch of land. It looks lush. Good for you. Guys do like to make salsa. I guess it is good for dipping while watching sport. Blessings

Great job!!!!!!
As you can tell certain veggies take off and overcrowd some others.

Tomatoes taste SO good from home, don't they?

The Broc...it will not always look like it does it the grocery store. They make individual sprouts. Looks like yours is ready to harvest. :) :) :) :)

So much will come back next year without replanting. We tilled our garden and up came plants from two previous seasons. We had to make an entire new raised bed just for the sprouts. The watermealon and canteloupe have gone nuts. The cucs are growing inside everything else. The sweet potatoes are taking over.

SO happy for you guys! WAY TO GO!

Holy Cow!!! That looks amazing. I really wanted to do a raised garden this year as well, but decided against it since we probably won't be in this house next summer. Make sure to post photos of your harvest!!
