Fort Niagara
The children loved Fort Niagara, a French military post (late 1600's), turned British military post (1759), turned U.S. Army post (1796-1960's), turned State Park. We pretty much had the place to ourselves, which was wonderful for us, but shouldn't people be enjoying places like this???
While the children ran amok all over the grounds I found a little bench overlooking Lake Ontario and enjoyed the breeze coming up off the water.
