A Christmas Miracle

A month ago I wrote about our Thanksgiving miracle....Elisabeth's moment of sight. Well, over the past 4 weeks we have seen many more of these 'moments'. But the most exciting of all came yesterday when Elisabeth not only saw something, but actually reached out to touch it. We are overwhelmed with joy. Our little baby girl, who lived her first year with no vision, is beginning to see the world!

We have witnessed many miracles in the past 15 months,
but this...this was the greatest miracle of all.

Merry Christmas!

NO DOUBT there is a Heavenly Father who loves us and watches out for us! What a precious, PRECIOUS baby girl. I LOVE her! (You guys aren't too shabby either)!

I have experienced some very familiar things at my house and it doesn't stop amazing you! Watch out, though. Now that she can see things and is reaching, she'll be wanting to GET to them. Good times.

I read what you wrote before about whether or not there's a connection between her new-found vision and the ceasing of the spasms. My theory is that kids like ours always have vision, but it's difficult/maybe disjointed, and it takes a lot of effort. Only when they are healthy and rested can they really use what they've got.

Okay, that's it - I think I have to stop reading your blog for today because I can't handle crying anymore! What a beautiful baby girl, and what a beautiful story she has! I will definitely be back to read more about her!
