Students of Yoga

Last night, Alexandra and Lorelai went from being backyard yogis to official yoga students. They accompanied me to my 7:15 class; yoga mats in hand.

I was so proud to have them at my side. Two of my daughters, doing yoga right alongside a room full of adults.

And the best part of all...they rocked it!

 Namaste.

Eventually

I thought we almost had QE back to normal.

Maybe not.

But I have no doubt we will get this figured out.

Eventually.

Somehow.

I Heart London

I love London.

I think that it's my second favorite place of all the places I've been (behind Salzburg).

A few days ago I was out shopping and came across this little tote bag; I had to have it. It reminded me of Alexandra's 3rd birthday - she had a London-themed party. It is perhaps my favorite of all the parties I have thrown...because I do so love London.

And I love the Olympics.

So combine those two together and you have one very happy Lisa.

Cheerio!

While They Were Away (Part 2)

While I was here doing this, they were there doing that:

Swimming...climbing...s'mores...fire...sleeping under the stars...fishing...camping...
summer.

This Little Piggy...

Note to self: When the person in front of me stops walking, so should I. Otherwise, I might break a toe or something.

[Another] note to self: Repaint that chipped toenail polish.

While They Were Away...

I found myself home alone with Queen Elisabeth on Friday night; Donald and the girls had packed up the van and gone camping.

I relished in the beauty of a night to myself.

(Because QE isn't too much work.)
((Ya right))

So here's how it all went down:

 1st:

Put on my favorite symphony - Beethoven's 7th.

 2nd:

Folded some paper cranes, because that's what we do around these parts.

3rd:

Took Elisabeth on a bike ride

4th:

Ordered Chinese food and had it delivered to the house.

5th:

Did a little bit of reading.

6th:

Home yoga  practice.

And that's where the magic stopped. Queen Elisabeth set in with one of her episodes. It was horrible - horrible I tell you. Watching her, it was as if she wanted to escape her body. It's been months of this and we have all grown a little tired

However, I think (knock on wood) that we are about to turn a corner. Donald and I have taken matters into our own hands and our sweet little Elisabeth might be her old self again real soon.
(Details coming.)

Also...don't forget that there are a few of Alexadra's paper crane garlands listed in my shop. She had several custom orders come in yesterday and she spent the entire day folding origami and stringing it all together. She just finished up a blue and yellow one; it's lovely. I will photograph it this morning and get it listed for sale...so be sure to check it out!

My Favorites

Some of my most favorite things...

Hanging baskets outside our windows. Is that whimsical or what?!

I rediscovered an old favorite song and have listened to it on repeat about 100 times -just ask Elisabeth.

My gumball bookends. They were running low and Donald ran to the store at 10:00 at night to replenish my supply.

I love my globe collection. The two on top of this bookcase are my faves.

My mom recently told me to read this book and it is my new favorite book. Favorite, favorite, favorite (No offense, Fahrenheit 451). How did I go so long without knowing of its existence? The words in this book simply spoke to me.

Speaking of books...I love the piles of books in our window sills. If you are ever low on reading material, stop by our house.
