Changing of the Guard

Monday morning at 7:05 am

I went into Alexandra's room to wake her for the day. She was still sound asleep so I climbed into her bed and began softly singing, Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin' from the musical Oklahoma (Did you think that The Sound of Music was the only thing in my repertoire????). Her eyes began to open, slowly at first, and then they popped open with excitement.

"It's March! Today we get to change seats!" she exclaimed.

And so it was. On the first day of every month my girls rotate seats in the van. Well, not Elisabeth of course, she remains put. But the older two switch off being in the back and the front.

Once everyone was fed, dressed, and ready to face the world, Alexandra eagerly offered to do the honors:

Purple booster to the back.

Pink booster to the front.

We're good to go til April!
